In order to further cultivate and practice the core values of socialism, actively respond to the call of the Xuzhou Youth League Committee to carry out the series of activities of learning from Lei Feng Youth Volunteer Service Month with the slogan of "practicing the spirit of Lei Feng and building a city of young volunteers", and promote the normalization and sustainable development of Xu Bo's learning from Lei Feng. On March 22, 2018, volunteers from Xuzhou Museum came into Xuzhou Jiurucheng Health Care Center and brought a public lecture on "The Charm of Chu and Han Dynasties in Ancient Pengcheng - Xuzhou's History and Culture" Yao "Know" for the elderly there.

The average age of the elderly participating in the activity is about 78 years old. Among them are retired cadres, retired teachers from colleges and universities, and retired employees from enterprises. The old people came to the activity room early before the activity began. In order to help the old people understand the long history of Xuzhou, Xubo volunteers distributed propaganda materials with pictures and texts for each old person.

During the activity, volunteer teacher Hao Xinyao carefully explained Xuzhou's glorious history, profound cultural accumulation and the ever-changing changes of today's new Xuzhou to the elderly. The wonderful lecture made the old people living in this city all the year round listen to it with great interest. Some old people listen while recording and draw pictures in circles on the leaflet. The conscientious and studious attitude deeply moved the volunteers at the scene. The nearly two-hour lecture burst into bursts of applause from time to time. The elderly said that this activity was very meaningful, and the volunteers' high-quality service left a deep impression on us. We look forward to the next time Xu Bo volunteers enter Jiurucheng Health Center again to bring them more wonderful content.
